Director of the Department of the History and Economy of Arab Countries at the İnstitute of Oriental Studies Dr. Farda Asadov has been appointed a member of International Advisory Board of the Journal of Silk Road and Central Asia Studies atKeymyung University,South Korea.

The Deputy, head of the group of friendship Azerbaijan-Egypt Milli Majlis, correspondent member of ANAS, director of the Institute of Oriental Studies after Z.M.Bunyadov Govhar Bakhshaliyeva met with the new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Arab Republic of Egypt in our country Ms. Susan Gamil Hoah.

The meeting held at the Egyptian embassy and was discussed issues of mutual interest and discussed the prospects of cooperation between the Parliament of Egypt and the Milli Majlis of the Azerbaijan Republic. During the meeting, in which touched upon the numerous historical, religious and cultural values, which unite the Azerbaijani and Egyptian nations, expressed confidence in achieving new successes in this direction.

G.Bakhshaliyeva detail informed Ambassador of Egypt on the development in Azerbaijan of Arab study and the work done in this area at the Institute of Oriental Studies.

Lead researcher of the Department of Turkish Philology of theInstitute ofOriental Studies named after academician ZiyaBunyadov ANAS Barat Osmanov has translated into Azerbaijani language and introduced readers the work of Edgar Granville "The turkish policy of Tsarist Russia". This translation has been made on the basis of a translation of the work into Turkish in 1967  by Orhan Ahriman.

Book "Armenian problem in the Turkish press" was published by researcher of ANAS Institute of Oriental Studies after Academician Ziya Bunyadov Emilia Khalilova.
