In the preface the author tells about the history and stages of Turkic personal names. The book provides information about the influence of other languages on a variety of the Turkic peoples, the territory of the spread of the Turkic names, conditions and reasons for the name in the naming of the Turkic peoples.
The dictionary indicates the value, origin, as well as correct and distorted form of names.
In the dictionary the names of the Turks of Anatolia, Central Asia, etc. were given in accordance with the pronunciation. And the same names used in all Turkic peoples are given mainly in the Azerbaijani language.
