As is known, on the occasion of the 700th anniversary of Yunus Emre's death, 2021 has been declared the "Year of Yunus Emre" by UNESCO.

In this regard, the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences is organizing the International Yunus Emre Symposium in cooperation with the Institute of Oriental Studies.

Yunus Emre, a prominent representative of 13th century Turkish folk literature, is a great poet who is loved and famous not only for the Turkic peoples, but also among the peoples of the world.

 

Yunus Emre's life, works and ideas have attracted the attention of many local and foreign researchers. There have been many publications on these topics. However, touching on many aspects of the influence of this famous man on his life, works and thoughts, and conducting research from a new perspective, will undoubtedly make important contributions to our cultural history.

For this purpose, the Institute of Oriental Studies of ANAS decided to organize an International Symposium as a contribution to the "Year of Yunus Emre 2021". The theme of this Symposium was "Understanding Yunus Emre in the 21st Century". The topics of the International Symposium:

Abstract Submission Process:

 

Abstract Text Writing Rules

- Times new roman, type in 11 pt.

- Between 3-5 keywords should be added to your abstracts

-The acceptable word range for the abstract is 250 – 300 words.

-To write abstract in English is required.

- Title, Author's name, surname, institution and email addresses should be written under the title

- All other settings (such as line spacing, etc.) will be made by our publishing house.

 

Full Text Writing Rules (There is No Full Text Requirement İn Our congress)

-The abstract you use in the application must be in your full text.

- Use sufficient bibliography

 - You can use the APA style citation format

- The spelling rules here are valid for the congress full text book. If you want to have your full text published as an article or an international book chapter, please review the writing rules of the relevant journal/publishing house.

1.     Title

1.     Name, surname

1.     Each article must have a Turkish and English title in the language in which it is written. It should be short, clear and adequately reflecting the content of the article, should be written in capital letters and bold, and should not exceed fifteen words

2.     Abstract and Keywords

1.     The Turkish abstract should reflect the purpose, scope and results of the study. The abstract should be at least two hundred and fifty words long, Turkish keywords consisting of at least three and at most eight words should be written under one line. In addition, the abstract, title and keywords should be in English. Articles written in a foreign language should also include a title, abstract and keywords in Turkish, English and the written language. Care should be taken that there are no language mistakes in the abstracts in a foreign language.

2.     Full Text

The page layout should be in A4 size, margins should be 3 cm from the right, left, top and bottom, with 14 nk line spacing, aligned on both sides and the paragraph spacing should be 6 pt before and after, and the page number should be given in the bottom middle of the page. In the papers, Palatino or Palatino Linotype (11 points) fonts should be used, syllables should not be used at the end of the line. A "TAB" key should be used at the beginning of the paragraph. Punctuation marks should be written adjacent to the words before them. A one-letter space should be left after the aforementioned signs.

The work must comply with the grammar rules. The latest TDK Spelling Guide should be taken as a basis in the use of punctuation marks and the writing of words and abbreviations in the papers, a clear and simple way of expression should be followed, and unnecessary information that goes beyond the purpose and scope should not be included. Valid scientific methods should be followed in the preparation of the papers, the subject of the study, its purpose, scope, reason for preparation, etc. information should be given in sufficient quantity and in a certain order.

Main headings: All capital letters should be written in bold.

Subheadings: All in bold; however, the first letter of each word will be capitalized and a carriage return will be placed at the end of the title.

Sub-headings: All in bold; however, the first letter in the first word of the title will be capitalized and the first letter of the next word/words will be lowercase and a carriage return will be made at the end of the title.

: Figures, tables and photographs should not go beyond the writing area, and each should be on a separate page if necessary. Figures and tables should be numbered and named in Turkish and English according to their content. Only the first letters of the words should be written in capital letters, under the figures and above the tables, and should be drawn with black ink, on tracing or white paper with a smooth and sufficient line thickness to avoid difficulties in reducing and printing.

Tables must be made with the table command in the "WORD" program. In obligatory cases, "EXCEL" tables can be used. Where necessary, explanatory footnotes or abbreviations should be given just below the figures and tables. In addition, the rules set for figures must be followed. Figures, tables and pictures should not exceed ten pages. Figures, tables and pictures should be placed in their places in the text, provided that they can be printed exactly.
Citations (Citations): Citations to be made in the papers should be given immediately after the relevant place, in parentheses, in the order of the author's surname, publication year and page number of the work. Example: ( Duymaz 1990: 28)

In cases where more than one source will be cited, the works are listed in the same parenthesis, from the oldest to the newest, separated by semicolons. Example: ( Beyzade 1982: 120; Duymaz 1990: 28)

Footnotes: Footnotes are used only for mandatory explanations and are given automatically with the "FOOTNOTE" command. References here should also be arranged in parentheses with the surname of the author, publication year and page number of the work. Example: (Rock 2000: 15)

Quotations: One-to-one quotations in the papers should be given in quotation marks and at the end of the quotation the source should be indicated in parentheses. Quotations less than five lines should be italicized between sentences, and quotations longer than five lines should be italicized within 1 cm from the left and right of the page. References should only be cited in parentheses at the end of non-literal quotations.
Bibliography: All sources used in the papers should be included in the "References", even if they are related to the subject of the article, documents and works that are not mentioned in the article should not be included in the bibliography. References should be given alphabetically at the end of the main text according to the surnames of the authors (for those before the surname law, the author's name is taken as basis). Titles of works should be written in italics.

a) Books and works in the nature of books

Author's surname (capital letters), name (year of publication), title of book, city of publication: publisher.

b) Articles in periodicals

Journals: Author's surname, name (year, month), "title of the article", name of the journal, volume number, number: page range.

Newspapers: Author's surname, name (year. month. day), "title of the article", name of the newspaper, page number (if any).c)

Theses

Author's surname, name (date), title of the thesis, city: university and institute name: (unpublished undergraduate/master's/doctoral thesis).

d) Papers

Author's surname, name (year), "title of the paper", name and date of the symposium, panel or congress, organizing institution, city: publishing house, page no.

e) Information obtained from the Internet

Author's surname, name (last updated date), "title of web document", (access date), web address.

·                             Results of the abstract review notified to authors: Usually within a week of submission to your E-mail.
