Opening the conference, academician N.Akhundova noted that, Aida Imanguliyeva is one of the prominent personalities in Azerbaijani science. She noted that, from an early age her passion for science led her to the Faculty of Oriental Studies at Baku State University, and with rich knowledge and talent she made a great contribution to the development of this field in our country. According to N.Akhundova, the work by A.Imanguliyeva is largely synthesized by the spiritual spirit of the East and the rational thinking of the West, and this idea now plays a key role in promoting multicultural values in our country.
Then, Director of the Institute of Oriental Studies, academician Govkhar Bakhshalieva delivered a scientific paper on "Scientific work by Doctor of Philology sciences, Professor Aida Imanguliyeva". Academician brought to the attention that, A.Imangulieva’s deep theoretical knowledge, analytical thinking, extensive erudition, research and written work in a short time glorified her not only in the former Soviet Union, but also in many foreign countries.
The author of three monographs and more than 70 scientific articles, Aida Imanguliyeva was the editor of many scientific works in the field of oriental philology. According to her, with her fundamental research, Aida Imanguliyev enriched and developed not only Azerbaijani oriental studies, but also world orientalism. Numerous scientific works of the scientist study the synthesis of Western and Eastern cultural traditions, the development of creative styles and the creation of new literary trends, which is a very important and methodological basis for studying not only Arabic literature, but also all new oriental literature.
Professor Aida Imanguliyeva has repeatedly represented the oriental science of Azerbaijan outside the republic and noted that, she was always attentive to the preparation of highly qualified Arabistics scholars.
Academician Akif Alizadeh emphasized that, young generations always turn to the works of Aida Imanguliyeva, the works and scientific monographs of an outstanding oriental scholar today retain their relevance. The works by scientist are re-read, researched and studied, translated, re-published.
The event also listened papers by the Doctor of Philology, Professor Vilayat Jafarov and PhD in Philology, associate professor Fatma Mejidova.
Further, people's poet Nariman Hasanzade, senior researcher at the Institute of Oriental Studies Basharat Bashirova and others shared their memories of the scientist.
