Opening the event director of the institute, corresponding member of ANAS Govhar Bakhshaliyeva told about invaluable merits of national leader to the Azerbaijani people and state. She noted that the 40-year history of Azerbaijan connected with the name of Heydar Aliyev. Remembering the great leader's activities in the direction of the comprehensive development of its people and the republic in the Soviet period and in the years of independence G.Bakhshaliyeva noted that Heydar Aliyev was a unique personality, combining all the positive qualities of leadership.
It was noted that today a worthy political successor of Heydar Aliyev - President Ilham Aliyev successfully continues the political course of the great leader. This political course has been tested in these difficult and crucial issues such as the preservation and strengthening of our state independence, improving the international image, to achieve socio-economic progress of our country.
